The New Zealand Paperboard Packaging Association (NZPPA) has five objectives which are:

1. To promote, aid, foster, develop and protect the interests of the Paperboard Packaging Industry in New Zealand.

2. To promote any legislation, regulation or Government action which the NZPPA may consider beneficial to the membership and to advocate on any legislation, regulation or Government action which NZPPA may consider to be adverse to it or its members.
|
3. To maintain liaison with other organisations representing interests concerned with the manufacture and use of paperboard packaging, to collect and disseminate statistics or other information, to conduct education or publicity activities; to sponsor research relating to the paperboard packaging industry; and to promote technical training within the industry.

4. To promote and encourage environmental awareness and responsibility both in member companies and in the public area, in respect of issues affecting or relating to paperboard packaging.

| 5. To do other things that may facilitate the carrying into effect of any of the foregoing objectives. |
NZPPA aims to:
1. Develop relationships with central and local government.
2. Develop linkages with key industry players.
3. Develop relationships with education providers.
4. Develop the membership base by providing a valued service to association members.
