| A new flier produced by the New Zealand Paperboard Packaging Association (NZPPA) has been launched to promote fibreboard packaging..jpg) The flier outlines the environmental benefits of paper and fibreboard products and promotes one of the key messages of NZPPA - reduce, reuse, recycle. Fibreboard products are made from a natural and renewable resource - the forest - and can be reused or recycled after its initial use. Fibreboard is also incredibly versatile and can be cut and folded into any shape or size. NZPPA executive officer Ashley Chisholm says fibreboard is one of the good news stories of the New Zealand economy. "Fibreboard is 100 percent natural origin, produced from timber sourced from plantation forests here in New Zealand and sometimes augmented by recycled paper and fibre," he says. "As well as providing numerous jobs, the industry is committed to environmental sustainability. Fibreboard is an easy product to produce and use, and most importantly, recycle."
