| The PrintNZ Centenary Conference provided an excellent opportunity for the New Zealand Business Forms Association and the New Zealand Paperboard Packaging Association's annual dinner. Held at Terraces Hotel in Taupo on Sunday, October 12, the dinner was a fun occasion, with several members honoured for their work in the two industries. Wickliffe Ltd and Chaucer Press were jointly awarded the NZBFA's Supreme Award - the first time the prize has been shared. Chaucer Press was also named as the winner of the IDEM trophy for the best job printed on self-copy paper. The NZBFA Apprentice of the Year Award, sponsored by Spicers Paper, was presented to Dean Thompson of Wickliffe Ltd, who is currently completing a reel fed apprenticeship. The award includes a trip for Dean to Melbourne to visit a paper mill. |
