the draw to win $1000 worth of travel vouchers or one of two cases of

GST Increase - New
Calculation
When GST goes up to 15%
on 1 October it is going to be slightly more complicated to work out the
GST portion of an all inclusive price. At the moment you simply
divide by 9, but from 1 October the new equation will be multiply by 3 and
then divide by 23.
E.g. an item costs
$1000 + GST @ 15% = $150 Total cost $1150
Working in
reverse: Total cost $1150 x 3 = $3450 ÷
23 = $150.00 (GST content)
Also
Increasing on 1 October...
New Zealand Post announced
this week that postage would go up on 1 October with a standard letter
moving from 50 cents to 60 cents, large moving from $1.00 to $1.20 and
extra large moving from $1.50 to $1.80. Hint: KiwiStamps
purchased at the old rate before 1 October will still be valid at that rate
after the increase i.e. you will still only need 1 Kiwistamp to post a
standard letter without having to add an additional 10 cent
stamp. So if you use a lot of stamps get in and purchase them
before 1 October.

release that also covers changes to parcel rates, international mail, PO
